I'm replying to this as there is an anomaly with it.

In the index.css on line 249
    --generic_bar_bg_color: url(../images/bar_stats.png) no-repeat 100%;
but if you go to the images folder that image is not present, however if you add the image then the bar looks wrong.

I have temporarily added the file here and the result is the image attached.

What I don't understand is why isn't and error being sent for the missing image as the code is still live in the index.css on line 2839.

You'll see also that the image has an effect on the generic bar which shows the size of attachments for the post.

I have renamed the image in the folder so you can test this out for yourselves.

I have to admit that I do prefer the style of the bar_stats.png image.

What do you guys think, and should we change it?

UPDATE:

Having looked further into it I wonder if there has been a mistake with the initial code.

As I mentioned before on line 249 we have

    --generic_bar_bg_color: url(../images/bar_stats.png) no-repeat 100%;
but before that on line 242 we have

--generic_bar_bar_bg_color: hsl(200,  99%, 45%);
Now if I change the code from line 242 to

--generic_bar_bar_bg_color: url(../images/bar_stats.png) no-repeat 100%;
the bar looks better as per the 3rd image attached.

I think that looks a lot better...opinions please?

I have put everything back as I found it. I have left the bar_stats.png image in the Whitebox themes images folder and renamed it to '1bar_stats.png'.

But I am going to update Quizland to use that image.

Yes! The 3rd one looks better!

You'll need to update GIT and where ever else you have it for download, unless you've done that already  ;)

Bocool

Ok, I'll make the change. :)

This is the only code I've found:

--generic_bar_bar_bg_color: hsl(39, 100%, 50%);
The following one wasn't even there:

--generic_bar_bar_bg_color: url(../images/bar_stats.png) no-repeat 100%;
I've commented out the first code and added the 2nd one but it shows the bars as an off white...

Dave

Yes sorry I gave you a step short
on line 2839 comment out

background: var(--generic_bar_bg_color);
Although for me the bars look OK on my PC

Bocool

Still no change...unless there's a typo somewhere.
