Do you want the News theme for 2.0 or 2.1?

So I saw...I have had to make changes to the old files already, so I have uploaded the latest SMF2.0 version. The attachment in the previous post will be updated

I would like it to work on 2.1.3

Bocool

Thought so... Gotta finish up Ambassador then I'll help work on that. Btw, I think that Ambassador's index.css, etc are for 2.1.2 and not 2.1.3 which has some of the code changed...

So how do you update it, just perform the 2.1.3 update from SMF? Or do you mean the text in the files is 2.1.2?

Bocool

The code in it is 2.1.2 and not 2.1.3. Someone told me they installed it on smf 2.1.3 and it worked fine. So I did it myself to see and am just remembering that it is prolly missing code and some of the code has changed in 2.1.3.

Ahh I see what you mean

Bocool

And this is also prolly why I'm having problems editing the jquery file and it won't show right away. I'm editing old files and they may have changed the main jquery files that go with it.

Dave

The index.css changes between 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 are as per the images attached

The file to the left is 2.1.3

Do we have to do all the css files and templates etc?

Yes, we only need to change/update the edited files. There's not much changes to the template files I've added but the real work usually lies in the css/jquery files. It shouldn't be too hard tho...

It looks like you're using Notepad++ like I do which makes it easier. :)

Bocool

I think the easiest way would be to create a new theme and copy what we need to it. We can keep this one active as a reference guide.

Unless you have a better idea...

I'm getting mixed up now. I thought you were talking about Ambassador...I'm taking a break for a while as I've been sat at my PC since 09.00 this morning and now it's 15.00 here and my shoulder is giving me some gyp, that's what happens when you get old  ;D .

I'm happy to do the 2.1.2 to 2.1.3 updates for css files but it wont be until tomorrow now

Bocool

I am talking about Ambassador. LOL Funny, I've done something to my shoulder last night crawling under the table for something. LOL It's feeling a bit better today but still a little sore.

Well, I'll be working on the files and may bake some bread, if I get around to it.

Dave

I'm still reading your posts on my tablet, but can't do file edits easily so I wont try.

I made some really cheesy scones yesterday, just warmed a couple up with plenty of butter on them...yummy  ;D
